We left off with Myo Mi and Bo Tong publicly confessing their love for Ma Te. Myo Mi also confesses to having a child, which frees her from being further threatened by Kim In Joong. Meanwhile, David interrupts Bo Tong’s radio confession, saying that it upsets him. In this episode, the feelings between Ma Te, Bo Tong and David start to intensify and we find that our kind second male lead may not be who we thought he was.

Ma Te confronts Bo Tong asking why she would bother him with a confession. She asks why it’d bother him he’s always known her feelings and why he came to see her instead of Myo Mi, when they both confessed. He seems to be confused with his own reaction as well and pretends that he came back for work documents.

Bo Tong thanks David, thinking that he stopped her confession because he didn’t want her to make a fool of herself, confessing at the same time Myo Mi. David not knowing how to tell her he was really upset because he was watching the woman he likes confess to another man.

The next day, as they put up a Christmas tree together, David asks why Bo Tong likes Ma Te so much. She replies that you don’t need a reason to love someone. She’s always felt that way about him. Even if he chases after other women, she still feels that way about him even though it upsets her. David sympathizes with her, because he feels the same way towards her. Bo Tong asks him what he meant when he said “What am I going to do with you, Bo Tong?” He promises to explain it, if she comes to his Christmas concert.

Bo Tong puts up a Christmas tree at Ma Te’s apartment. They look for a picture of Ma Te’s mom to put up on the tree, when they find an old pocket watch. Bo Tong to keep it as something to remember his mom by. In the next scene we see that Na Hong Ran has the same pocket watch.

At the office, Myo Mi asks Ma Te to get her the contract for the outdoor modeling campaign by taking care of the president of the company. After he agrees they continue to flirt with each other, when David and Bo Tong walk in. Bo Tong is immediately jealous seeing them together. When Ma Te finds out that Bo Tong and David went to the grand opening of her mom’s restaurant without him, he gets grumpy. Bo Tong completely misses the signs of jealousy, but David catches on. Bo Tong is so infuriated at Myo Mi and Ma Te heading out together on what she assumes is a date that she angrily yells “WAIT!” Not knowing what to say when they stop, she pretends to ask Myo Mi for an autograph. To cheer Bo Tong up David takes Bo Tong out for a drive and “glamping”.







Ma Te comes back to an empty office. Curious as to where Bo Tong is, and suspecting that she’s with David, he calls Duk Sang. Ma Te tries to beat around the bush, not asking about Bo Tong directly, but Duk Sang is onto him. Seems everyone is onto him except Bo Tong. Duk Sang teases him that Bo Tong and David went off somewhere together and are still not home.

In order to contact Bo Tong indirectly, Ma Te goes to Bo Tong’s mom’s new restaurant. He gives Mrs. Kim some money to help with the security deposit and learns that David already leant her some. Mrs. Kim tells him that Ma Te’s mom once told her that he was a very considerate boy and that she can see it now. This brings a smile to Ma Te’s face. He finds out that David made Mrs. Kim promise that she would not let Bo Tong know. Ma Te sees his chance to regain the top position in Bo Tong’s heart and asks Mrs. Kim to please let Bo Tong know about his good deed. Not forgetting his real purpose for heading to the restaurant is to find out Bo Tong’s whereabouts, Ma Te tells Mrs. Kim to call her daughter to make sure she’s okay. Unfortunately, Bo Tong doesn’t pick up her call and Mrs. Kim is indifferent about it. Ma Te angrily continues his meal. Let’s look at his expressions as the meal progresses. Poor Ma Te.





Bo Tong falls asleep in her camping chair. David in strokes her hair and face and longingly stares at her and leans in for a kiss in a way that only second male leads can pull off as romantic instead of creepy. The moment is ruined when Bo Tong burps in her sleep, so he satisfies himself by resting her head on his shoulder.

The next morning, a still crabby Ma Te pesters David at work hoping to find out where the two went last night. David is annoyed with his questions, senses his jealousy and finally forces Ma Te to ask the question outright. In order to further irritate him, David refuses to answer the question. Out of anger, he forces Bo Tong to write a letter of apology.





David gets a phone call that someone is upset he left MG shopping. He says he’s already gone study abroad and worked at MG shopping. He feels that he’s been filial enough. The person on the phone also asked if when to work for the cleaning sock company because the secret about Ma Te’s father… (WHAT?!?) David says no. Just when did David know about Ma Te’s secret and what are his intentions?

Hong Yu Ra tells Ma Te about Na Hong Ran’s hidden child. There are quite a few hidden children on this show. Yu Ra vows to get rid of the hidden son no matter what. As Ma Te sits in his office looking at a magazine with his dad, the president of MG group on the cover, Bo Tong walks in. She immediately recognizes him as the man she accompanied Ma Te’s mom to go meet right before her death.







Ma Te succeeds in getting Myo Mi the modeling contract by becoming the president of the outdoor sporting good company in Korea. As Ma Te and Bo Tong walk down the street discussing work Bo Tong notices a beautiful white dress that she wants to try on. Ma Te harshly tells her that the dress doesn’t suit her.

Bo Tong invites David to sleep in the house because it’s cold. She tells him she’s going to move to her mom’s so he can’t sleep inside again, but he tells her that he hasn’t slept in the house in 5 years. It’s because there’s a ghost that lives in the room.

We see Ma Te softening up for Bo Tong. He gifts Bo Tong with the dress she liked, but embarrassed by the fact that he’s doing something nice for her says “I’m giving to the less fortunate.” The next day, he texts her to confirm a Christmas date with her. Since this is something so out of the ordinary for Ma Te to do and since we can see by now that Bo Tong is just awful at reading the intentions of the men around her, a hilarious conversation ensues. Bo Tong first thinks it’s work related, then she refuses to go because she thinks that Ma Te is being nice because he’s going to tell her he’s getting married. He explains that he’s trying to be nice to her and to show up in the outfit. Bo Tong is really excited at first, but then realizes that she already made plans with David. She cluelessly invites Ma Te to go watch David’s concert with her instead, which would be a guaranteed bad time for both men. Is David really going to confess his feelings to her if she brings Ma Te as a date? Is Ma Te the type of guy that would put up with watching another guy in the limelight? Luckily Ma Te refuses her ridiculous idea and tells her that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.







He calls David into his office and tells him that he can’t make it to his concert, because he and Bo Tong have dinner reservations. David, thinking that Bo Tong is going to cancel on him anyways, or would rather go to the dinner, gives Bo Tong an out. He asks her to go invite Ma Te to dinner tomorrow, because she’s making him too nervous to perform.

President of MG Group returns from the United States and meets with his son… David! He wasn’t the son of Na Hong Ran? David is angry that his father wants to go to the sauna with him and his “older brother”. He doesn’t want to call that person his “Older Brother” and thinks of himself as only insurance for his father. His father denies it and says that he was only trying to protect David and his mother. This infuriates David. “How can you say you protected my mother?” and stomps out. Did his mom die 5 years ago? Is she the ghost?

Bo Tong cancels on Ma Te at the last minute via text. Oh, Kim Bo Tong!!! When Ma Te was given the choice between going to you or Myo Mi, he came to you. Given the choice between Ma Te and David, you went to David? SERIOUSLY, KIM BO TONG? Why? Because you promised him first or is your heart softening towards him, the same way Ma Te’s heart is towards you?

Ma Te is left alone to sullenly eat his Christmas dinner, while Bo Tong cheerily goes to David’s concert. The smile falls off Bo Tong’s face when David confesses “I would like to sing this song to the woman who left me in a state of confusion and whom I wasn’t sure what to do with.” What did you think was going to happen, Kim Bo Tong?







After the concert, David asks Bo Tong to reply. He tells her that from the first moment he saw her he liked her. We flash back to a scene in a psychiatrist’s office where an unusually sad David tells the doctor that he has trouble sleeping and that he dreams of his mother. It was after that appointment that he met Bo Tong. It suddenly occurs to Bo Tong that she’s been hurtful to David, always only thinking of and chasing after Ma Te. David tells her to just be as she is. She will look at the one she likes and he will look at her. He’ll be happy if she just remembers him every so often.

Ma Te is livid from being stood up by Bo Tong, the girl who he never thought he’d lose. Feeling that her living with David is making them closer, he tries to drag her off to his apartment. Bo Tong doesn’t seem to know why he’s acting this way suddenly and refuses to go. Maybe she just doesn’t want to hurt David’s feelings further by running off with Ma Te right after rejecting him. Ma Te loses control of his emotions for a second and starts to yell and then composes himself. As he starts to drag Bo Tong, David stops him, telling Ma Te not to treat her like an object. Given a second chance, who will she choose this time?
